Ukrainians reminded about the importance of consular registration in Poland: list of necessary documents.


Citizens of Ukraine in Poland were explained what temporary consular registration is needed for and how to obtain it. After the invasion of Russia, many Ukrainians were forced to leave their homes and seek refuge in neighboring countries, particularly in Poland. To effectively account for and support Ukrainians residing in Poland, it is important to understand the procedure of consular registration - what it is, why it is needed, and how to go about it.
Temporary consular registration is necessary for participation in foreign elections, temporary importation of vehicles into Ukraine with exemption from customs duties, registration of orphans and adopted children, as well as the registration of persons with disabilities and their companions.
Ukrainians in Poland
To register consularly, citizens of Ukraine need to have documents such as a valid residence card, a visa, or an electronic certificate from DIIA.pl.
Ukrainian citizens are accepted for temporary consular registration for one year, but it can be extended. It is important to note that temporary consular registration can only be done at the place of residence, provided there is a registered address in Poland.

It is also worth knowing that men aged 18 to 60, in order to receive consular services, must have an extract from the mobile application 'Reserv+' about updating military registration data in the 'Oberih' register.
