Ukrainians were explained how to arrange a payment in connection with pregnancy and childbirth for women-entrepreneurs.
Financial assistance to pregnant women entrepreneurs in Ukraine will be provided under new rules. The state will be able to provide financial support during pregnancy and after childbirth, but with certain conditions.
This information was made public by the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
The main condition is the payment of the unified contribution, a special tax for entrepreneurs. Interestingly, even if a woman did not regularly pay this contribution, but did so at the beginning of maternity leave, she is still entitled to assistance.
It is worth noting that since March 2022, women entrepreneurs have been given the opportunity to temporarily not pay the unified contribution. However, if they do not pay it in the month when they went on maternity leave, unfortunately, they will not receive financial assistance.
To receive the payment, an electronic medical certificate is required. This is a new format of document that replaces the paper one. It is also important that information about payments is entered into a special state register.
If there are problems with processing the assistance, a woman can always contact the local social protection authorities. They will help sort out all the details.
We also reported that now women can independently decide when to go on maternity leave.
