Ukrainians can expect magnetic storms in the next three days, reported the Space Weather Prediction Center of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Geomagnetic storms are classified by the K-index - a measure of intensity that ranges from 2 to 9 points. Solar activity on Friday, December 12, will have a K-index of 3 (green level), indicating minor magnetic disturbances. It is forecast that by Saturday, December 14, the storm will persist, and the magnetosphere will return to normal.
It is worth noting that data on solar activity is updated every three hours, so the forecast may change.
Earlier, Didenko warned Ukrainians about the challenging weather.
