Ukrainian parents who have not vaccinated their children will be fined in Poland

Starting February 1, a major vaccination check is scheduled in Poland, organized by the country's Chief Sanitary Inspectorate. Approximately 7.5 million children and teenagers up to 19 years old are subject to mandatory vaccination. Their data will be entered into electronic vaccination cards.

Chief sanitary inspector Pawel Grzesiewski noted that a register of unvaccinated children currently exists, but it is impossible to determine what each child was vaccinated against using the PESEL number. This issue was identified in a report by the Supreme Audit Office, which pointed to shortcomings in the vaccination system.

Parents face fines for refusing mandatory vaccinations for their children. For the first violation, the fine will be 500 zlotys (approximately 51,700 hryvnias). If parents continue to refuse to vaccinate their children, the fine may increase to several thousand. The established upper limit is no more than 50,000 zlotys from each legal representative of the child.
