According to inkorr.com: Ukrainians will be able to find out who and for what purpose has access to their data in state registries. The Ministry of Digital Transformation plans to implement notifications in the Diia app so that citizens can see who is viewing their personal information.

“We will soon launch notifications in Diia so that you can see who and for what purpose viewed information in the registries. The government has approved a resolution that launches the access monitoring subsystem in Trembita,” the press service of the ministry said.

Now every person will receive a notification if someone views their data. This new system will register all interactions with the information, except for cases related to criminal investigations or counter-terrorism efforts.

“For example, when a government agency arranges a service, they need your data - an employee makes a request in the registry. Trembita will record this fact, and you will receive a notification in Diia with all the details: who, when, and why,” the message says.

Updated data access rules for the development of the digital state

In addition, the government has developed a new resolution aimed at updating and simplifying the rules for accessing open data. This will be an important step in the development of a digital state based on transparency and accountability.

The new rules provide for the collection of the most important data in a single registry, allowing citizens, businesses, and NGOs to more easily find the necessary information for analysis, service creation, and oversight of government activities.

The implementation of this system will not only enhance control over the use of personal data but also promote citizens’ trust in government bodies. Thanks to notifications in the Diia app, everyone will be able to know who has access to their information, which will undoubtedly increase transparency in the relationship between citizens and the state.
