Ukrainians may lose their pensions: PFC named 4 reasons.
Important information regarding the cessation of pension payments
The Pension Fund of Ukraine reported the possible cessation of pension payments for certain categories of citizens in 2025 according to the law 'On mandatory state pension insurance'. Four grounds for such termination have been specified.
'Payments will be suspended in the event of providing false information when applying for a pension, the death of the recipient, the absence of payment receipts for six months, and departure abroad to a country with which there is no pension agreement', - said representatives of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
For Ukrainians temporarily residing abroad, there is a possibility to submit the necessary documents by mail. In particular, it is necessary to send a copy of the document about receiving temporary protection or refugee status, a document confirming the pensioner's life, and a copy of the Ukrainian passport.
Since the beginning of January 2025, changes have also occurred regarding compensation payments to internally displaced persons. Now the Pension Fund of Ukraine is compensating for the shelter of IDPs and will determine citizens' rights to receive compensation payments starting from March.
