According to TSN.ua: Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister, Serhii Boiev, announced at the OFDEF conference that the country requires $120 billion to implement its defense strategy in 2026. The plan is to cover half of this sum through the national budget and European Union loans, with the remaining half expected from international partners in the form of security assistance.

Key Priorities and Requirements

The primary defense priorities for 2026 have been identified as:

• Air and missile defense systems,
• Unmanned aerial vehicles (drones),
• Artillery ammunition.

Ukraine plans to manufacture over 7 million drones, a goal that underscores its intent to develop its domestic defense-industrial base and equip its military with modern technology. This massive drone production plan highlights a strategic shift towards asymmetric warfare capabilities.
