Strikes Against Russia’s Black Sea Fleet

According to Espreso.tv: Robert Brovdi, commander of a special unit within the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU), reported successful operations targeting Russia’s Black Sea Fleet. These missions have destroyed tankers, cargo ships, and key energy infrastructure. Between July 1 and July 19, under the codenames 'Molochka' and 'Crimean Switch Off,' Ukrainian forces struck 176 vessels from Russia’s so-called 'shadow fleet' and knocked out 96 energy nodes.

The operations involved units from the 414th, 412th, 20th, and 427th SBU brigades. On the night of July 19 alone, these units hit 59 targets deep inside enemy-controlled territory. 'Molochka' is set to continue indefinitely, while 'Crimean Switch Off' saw 13 energy nodes and substations destroyed in a single night—8 located in Crimea and 5 in occupied areas of southern and eastern Ukraine.

Targets Destroyed and Their Strategic Impact

The strikes targeted electrical substations in the following locations:

  • Kerch
  • Stary Krym
  • Ponyzivka
  • Yalta
  • Sudak
  • Shchebetovka
  • Yedy-Kuy
  • Zeleny Yar
  • Berdiansk
  • Shyroke
  • Bila Hora
  • Bezhynove
  • Zemlyanky
'The fleet is drying up and hiding,' Robert Brovdi stated, underscoring the effectiveness of the operations.

These successful missions highlight Ukraine’s growing ability to challenge Russian naval power in the Black Sea, potentially shifting the regional balance of power. The attacks on energy hubs also threaten to disrupt supply lines for Russian forces stationed in occupied territories. This escalation marks a significant intensification of combat operations in Ukraine’s maritime zones.
