One-Time Cash Assistance for Service Members
According to Novyny.live: When leaving the military, Ukrainian service members are entitled to a one-time cash payout. The exact amount depends on their category and the reason for discharge, offering financial support as they transition out of service.
The payout is calculated as a percentage of the monthly salary. For contract soldiers and career personnel who leave due to health issues, captivity, or contract expiration after 24 months of service, the rate is 50% for each year served. Similarly, those with at least 10 years of service who are discharged due to reaching the age limit, contract end, downsizing, or family reasons also receive 50%.
Payments for Different Categories of Military Personnel
For service members with over 10 years of service who resign voluntarily or due to family circumstances, the assistance is set at 25% per year of service. Mobilized troops receive 4% of their monthly pay for each month served, but no less than 25% in total. Conscripted officers are entitled to a fixed payment of 50% of their monthly salary.
The one-time cash assistance is disbursed on the day of discharge, ensuring that troops have immediate financial support when their service ends. This flexible system accounts for various discharge scenarios, making it better suited to the needs of individual service members.
