New regulations for Ukrainian drivers: what to expect from the Parliament.

Drivers face severe fines for exceeding noise levels
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is preparing to adopt bill No. 9564, which provides for severe penalties for drivers for exceeding the noise level of vehicles. For the first violation, a fine of 17,000 hryvnias is envisioned, and for a repeated violation, double the amount - 34,000 hryvnias.
Violators may also be deprived of the right to drive a vehicle for a period of three to six months. This especially applies to owners of cars with modified exhaust systems and other technical changes that increase engine noise.
The issue has become particularly relevant during martial law, when loud engine sounds can cause panic among the population due to their similarity to the sounds of enemy drones, for example, 'Shaheds'.
The bill has already been included in the agenda of the Verkhovna Rada in September and is awaiting consideration. According to experts, the new rules will significantly affect the owners of tuned cars, especially regarding technical modifications that increase noise levels.
