Ukrenergo announced a new power outage schedule with three time zones.
Planned Power Outages
The National Power Company 'Ukrenergo' has published a schedule for planned power outages for Monday, December 10. The restrictions will affect both residential consumers and industrial facilities.
The outage schedule for the population is as follows: from 07:00 to 08:00 there will be one outage shift, from 08:00 to 19:00 - two shifts, and from 19:00 to 22:00 - again one shift. Industrial enterprises and businesses will operate according to capacity limitation schedules from 07:00 to 22:00.
Reason for Restrictions
The reason for the restrictions is damage to energy infrastructure as a result of a massive missile and drone attack on November 28. Recovery at the damaged facilities is still ongoing.
As of 6:00 AM on December 9, electricity consumption remained at the level of the previous working day, but energy workers are recording a high level of consumption that is typical for this season.
Power Deficit and Electricity Import
There remains a significant power deficit in the energy system. To compensate for it, electricity imports from five countries are planned: Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova, totaling 13,154 MWh, with a maximum capacity of up to 887 MW during certain hours.
