It is worth noting that over 60% of restaurants on Uber Eats are small or medium enterprises.
Matthew Price, General Manager of Uber Eats in the UK, Ireland, and Northern Europe, noted: “Independent restaurants are the heart of the culinary scene in the UK and Ireland.
“Whether it’s your local burger shop, an eco-friendly vegan café, or a popular food startup on TikTok, Uber Eats is proud to support businesses that bring flavor, jobs, and culture to our communities.”
This initiative by Uber Eats highlights the importance of small businesses in the gastronomy market, especially in a challenging time for the restaurant industry. And fan voting helps determine which establishments truly deserve recognition and support.
Winning this competition will not only provide financial assistance but also boost the finalists' popularity, which can significantly impact their future growth.
