Umerov commented on new drones for Ukraine and the possible meeting of Zelensky with Trump and Putin.
Defense Minister Rustem Umerov stated that Ukraine is actively working on organizing a meeting of leaders to end the war. He emphasized that the country supports the idea of a lasting ceasefire and the exchange of prisoners of war, along with its American allies.
'Ukraine remains consistent in its position. We continue to work with our allies, including the United States, on organizing a leaders' meeting,' Umerov reported.
Additionally, the minister announced the launch of the 'Build with Ukraine' project, within which partners in cooperation with Ukrainian defense companies plan to deploy new factories. This will enable the Ukrainian military to receive modern weapons manufactured at domestic enterprises.
The minister set an ambitious goal to supply 'several million' drones to Ukrainian brigades by the end of 2025. To achieve this, an expansion of the DOT-Chain system for the procurement of drones is planned, so that combat units can independently order the necessary equipment.
Summary
Ukraine continues to cooperate with allies to organize a meeting of leaders to stop the war. In addition, the 'Build with Ukraine' project has been launched, which involves the construction of new factories and the supply of drones to the Ukrainian military. Umerov emphasized the importance of these steps for strengthening the country's defense capabilities.
