Special Forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate halted the advance of the occupiers in the Donetsk region: over 90 eliminated.
Special Forces stopped the enemy in the Donetsk region
Operatives of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine halted the enemy's advance in the Donetsk region and eliminated over 90 Russian occupiers. Five captured have been taken prisoner. This was reported today, August 22, by the GUR, as informed by FREEДОМ.
During the assault, FPV drone operators and bombing drones carried out over 400 combat sorties, delivering precise strikes and supporting ground units.
“Thanks to the effective actions of the reconnaissance units, it was possible to stabilize the logistics of the Defense Forces in their area of responsibility and prevent the enemy from advancing quickly towards the border of the Dnipropetrovsk region,” GUR reported.
During the operation, the fighters also detected and neutralized several groups of “carriers” — Russian servicemen who, at the cost of their lives, hung tricolors for photos to later falsely claim the “capture” of these settlements.
“All identified 'carriers' were either eliminated or taken prisoner,” GUR stated.
Reminder: over the past day, Russia lost 790 soldiers, 46 artillery systems, as well as three armored combat vehicles and four tanks on the front in Ukraine.
