Ministry of Culture creates evacuation protocols for cultural heritage from risk zones.
According to inkorr.com: The Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications is actively improving evacuation protocols for cultural heritage from territories that may be under threat. Tetyana Berezhna, the acting minister, emphasized the importance of this initiative during her speech at the Kyiv International Economic Forum.
'We are working to formalize and systematize the evacuation protocols for cultural heritage from those territories that may be in the risk zone. This is not an easy task, as we need to maintain a balance between the interests of those who nurture this heritage and the protection of the heritage itself,' Berezhna noted.
Involving business in cultural projects
As part of this work, an important task is not only to preserve cultural heritage but also to involve business in the development of cultural projects. A draft law on patronage is also being discussed, which aims to secure funds from the private sector to support various cultural initiatives.
'This is a completely pragmatic tool that not only defines what patronage is but also provides financial incentives for businesses to engage in this, as well as offers opportunities for businesses to participate in the supervisory boards of cultural institutions,' Berezhna emphasized.
Strategic task for national identity
The cultural values of Ukraine are a key element of national identity, so developing cooperation between state structures, business, and cultural institutions is strategically important. The patronage law serves as an important mechanism in this process, supporting partnerships between different sectors of society to expand the cultural sphere.
The actions of the Ministry of Culture are aimed not only at protecting cultural heritage but also at strengthening cooperation with business, which can significantly impact the development of cultural initiatives in Ukraine. Laws on patronage can become a practical tool for attracting resources and supporting cultural projects that are essential for national identity and the overall development of society.
