Gas tariffs will remain unchanged until 2026

According to inkorr.com: Ukrainians can breathe a sigh of relief: gas tariffs for the population will remain at their current level at least until 2026. The government has decided to extend the mechanism of special obligations (PSO) on participants in the gas market, reports 'Fakty'.

According to the new resolution, the price of gas for the population will be 7,420 UAH per 1,000 cubic meters (including VAT), while for budget institutions it will be 16,390 UAH per 1,000 cubic meters.

Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko emphasized that fixed tariffs are an important step towards ensuring stability and security during the heating season.

Additionally, the government has also supported a project regarding state supervision in the field of water supply and sewage disposal.

Market gas prices

Despite the fixed tariffs, it should be noted that the market price of gas may change depending on the supplier. Annual tariffs range from 7.79 to 9.99 UAH per cubic meter, while monthly prices can be between 8.46 and 20.99 UAH per cubic meter.

It is also important to note that in Ukraine, the share of gas production has decreased due to the actions of the Russian Federation.

Therefore, the continuation of fixed gas tariffs will be an important factor for citizens facing rising costs during the heating season. At the same time, in an environment of changing market conditions, it is crucial to keep a close eye on the situation regarding prices and access to energy resources.
