The government changed the procedure for obtaining the status of a person with a disability due to war.
The Government of Ukraine has made changes to the procedure for establishing the connection of disability with injuries or other health impairments (CMU Resolution No. 306). This is reported by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.
The changes expand the grounds for establishing the connection of disability with injuries or health damage received by the civilian population due to explosive devices.
«From now on, the status of a person with a disability due to war will be able to be obtained not only by civilians from territories where hostilities are ongoing (or were conducted), but also by those who suffered from Russian shelling with explosive devices in other territories controlled by Ukraine», - the message states.
Local territorial bodies of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) will confirm such facts.
It was previously reported that the Cabinet of Ministers approved the procedure for obtaining the status of a combatant (UBD) during martial law online or automatically. MP Oleksiy Honcharenko reported that the Ministry of Veterans Affairs should refine the registry within four months.
