Will USAID be reborn in a new format? The US has developed a plan.

Plan to reform the US international aid program
The administration of Donald Trump has developed a plan to reform the US international aid program, the funding of which will be directed towards the country's priority areas. According to the memorandum, this will reduce costs and other countries' dependence on the US. Changes include the liquidation of the USAID bureau and the creation of a new entity - the US Agency for International Humanitarian Assistance, focusing on humanitarian aid and food security. Politically sensitive programs will be transferred under the control of the State Department.
Representatives of the Trump administration claim that such changes will strengthen national security and help counter global competitors.
The memorandum will be sent to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio for review.
It should be noted that following the inauguration, Donald Trump suspended foreign aid programs for 90 days to verify their compliance with political goals. This also affected the activities of USAID.
As a result of the review, 83% of the programs of the US Agency for International Development will be canceled.
