Andriy Yusov on the Targeting of a Railway Bridge in Crimea

According to Novyny.live: Andriy Yusov, a spokesperson for Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) within the Ministry of Defense, addressed the recent strike on a railway bridge in Russian-occupied Crimea. He highlighted the successful execution of the operation by Ukrainian Special Operations Forces and framed it as part of a broader strategic effort. According to Yusov, additional operations are in the pipeline, though details will be disclosed at a later time.

The attack on the railway bridge occurred amid intensified Ukrainian military activity. On June 21, Ukraine struck Russian military logistics and air defense systems in Crimea, demonstrating the ability to engage targets approximately 300 kilometers from the front line. Just days earlier, on June 18, Ukrainian drones targeted the strategic Moscow Oil Refinery in Kapotnya, located only 15 kilometers from the Kremlin.

'You hear about some of these operations, and that matters. Others remain under the radar and will be announced later. The work continues.' Andriy Yusov

Yusov also accused Russian intelligence services of exploiting minors, vulnerable individuals, and other unethical methods to achieve their objectives, backed by virtually unlimited budgets for such activities. This reflects the complexity and diversity of strategies employed amid the ongoing military confrontation.

Ukrainian Intelligence Operations Intensify

Ukraine’s intelligence community is maintaining an active presence in temporarily occupied territories, particularly in Crimea, signaling that further operations in the region are planned. These actions underscore Kyiv’s efforts to degrade Russia’s military capabilities and highlight the ability of Ukrainian forces to conduct long-range strikes far from the front lines—potentially reshaping the strategic balance in the region.

In the context of the protracted war, such operations may prove pivotal in shifting the power dynamics going forward.
