A soldier released from captivity was beaten near the TCC in Odesa: police identified the perpetrators.
According to ТСН: In Odesa, law enforcement discovered military personnel from the recruitment center who beat a soldier who had recently returned from captivity.
The incident occurred in early December when the victim, a 27-year-old soldier who was released from captivity in June, reported to the police. He stated that he was beaten by individuals in military uniform.
The police opened a criminal investigation and established that two servicemen from the Peresyp district of the TCC were involved in the conflict. The complainant sustained minor bodily injuries.
Law enforcement has charged the defendants: one under
Part 1 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for liability for intentional light bodily injury, and the other under
Part 1 of Article 126 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, in particular for intentionally causing blows or beatings that inflicted physical pain but did not lead to bodily injuries.
For these offenses, punishment may involve a fine or community service. Investigative actions are ongoing.
It should be noted that earlier in Odesa, military personnel from the TCC beat a released marine, a defender of Mariupol, and shoved him into a car.
This incident highlights a serious problem of violence in the military environment, especially against individuals returning from captivity. Participants in the conflict are subject to criminal prosecution, and such cases may have a significant impact on the motivation and safety of servicemen in the future.
