According to Novyny.live: Ukraine hosted its first-ever robot competition inside a 3D maze, conducted in accordance with international IEEE standards, in the city of Odesa. The two-day event attracted over 50 participants, including representatives from various technology companies. A key partner of the event was BlueBird Tech, a company that actively supports the advancement of cutting-edge technologies.

The Robo Intelligence competition took place at the Odesa National University named after I. I. Mechnikov. Participants showcased their skills and innovative solutions in building robots capable of navigating a complex 3D maze. This milestone event plays a crucial role in supporting young engineers and promoting robotics across Ukraine.

Emerging Technologies and Investments

BlueBird Tech, one of the main sponsors of the competition, unveiled its new kamikaze drone named 'Bebradron,' which boasts impressive specifications:

  • a range of up to 45 km;
  • a payload capacity of up to 7.5 kg.

This development underscores the company’s investment in future technologies and the advancement of unmanned systems.

According to plans, by the end of 2026, one-third of infantry units are expected to be replaced by drones and ground robots. This highlights the rapid evolution of robotics and its growing impact on modern military technology. The Odesa competition marks an important step in this transformation, giving young specialists a platform to showcase their talents and gain experience in creating innovative solutions.
