Zoo director Ihor Bilyakov confirmed the sad news, noting that Boomer endured a difficult life before being brought to the facility. The zoo had aimed to provide him with peaceful final years, but his heart ultimately gave out.

“We did our best to give him a calm end to his life, but his heart couldn’t take it anymore,” – Ihor Bilyakov.
