A large-scale review of decisions by the MMC and MSEC on disability assignment will begin in one of the regions.
A large-scale review of the decisions of the medical-social expert commissions (MSEC) and military-medical commissions (MMC) is planned in Volyn region.
This was reported by the head of the Volyn regional military administration, Yuriy Pogulyayko, after an urgent meeting with the heads of law enforcement agencies, territorial recruitment and social support centers, medical institutions, and other responsible structures.
"A corruption case involving the MSEC in one of the regions has shaken the entire country. The cynicism and audacity of the situation are simply staggering. That is why from today we are strengthening anti-corruption efforts in Volyn, especially in institutions that directly affect mobilization," said Pogulyayko.
According to him, the law enforcement officers received instructions to immediately begin reviewing MSEC and MMC decisions. If facts of unjustified decision-making are found, their review will begin. Work is also planned to identify corruption violations in the field of MSEC system and military-medical expertise.
It is worth noting that there are 10 medical-social expert commissions of various profiles operating in Volyn. The health department of the regional state administration has been tasked with strengthening the monitoring of their decisions.
Let us remind you that law enforcement officers recently launched a criminal investigation into the illegal issuance of disability statuses to men who are trying to avoid military service. During searches at the head of the Khmelnytskyi MSEC, Tetyana Krupa, 100 thousand dollars, fake medical documents, and lists of "evaders" with fictitious diagnoses were found.
