In Ukraine, apple prices have reached an eight-year high: the main reason.
Apple prices in the Ukrainian market have suddenly risen, EastFruit experts report. Over the past week, the average price of apples has increased by 13% and reached 25-32 hryvnias per kilogram.
'If a week ago the demand for local apples was low, today there is increased interest from buyers of all categories,' producers report.
Experts explain such price growth by several factors. Firstly, there is a shortage of high-quality apples on the market due to their damage during storage. Secondly, the best apples are usually exported or stored until spring to obtain favorable prices.
Apple prices in Ukraine are now 61% higher compared to the same period last year.
Experts predict that this trend will continue due to the limited supply of quality apples in the domestic market and sustained demand from exporters.
Recall that it is also possible to find out the price of oranges and mandarins.
