In Ukraine, the condition for opening airports has been named: 45-50 days.
The restoration of air communication in Ukraine will depend on the availability of reliable air defense for airports, said Deputy Prime Minister Oleksii Kuleba. According to him, the Ukrainian Aviation Service is 95% ready to resume flights. Technically, it will take 45 to 50 days to launch air transport at 'Boryspil' and Lviv airports after appropriate decisions are made. However, passenger safety remains the main priority.
Kuleba stated that the success of restoring air communication in Ukraine by 2025 will depend on the situation at the front. He also noted that serious air defense measures already being used in the country must be implemented to achieve safety. Crispin Allison, a partner at insurance broker Marsh McLennan, reported that Lviv airport could be opened in 2025, and Ukrainian officials have been discussing this issue with European partners for years. It should be noted that air communication in Ukraine was suspended due to Russia's invasion.
