The government has released 911 MW for the power grid: how the outage schedules have changed.
According to ТСН: In Ukraine, the verification of the implementation of the government's decision regarding the review of the lists of critical infrastructure facilities has been completed. As a result of the inspection, facilities that lost their preferential status were transferred to the general hourly outage schedules.
Release of electrical capacity
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko reported that thanks to the distancing of objects, it was possible to release and add 911 MW of electrical capacity to the general power grid.
"The facilities that were excluded from the lists have already been transferred to the general outage schedules. Thanks to this decision, despite a significant drop in temperature this week, it has been possible to stabilize the increase in queues in the outage schedules," noted Yulia Svyrydenko.
Expectations of further changes
She also added that the government hopes that the further implementation of this decision will allow for even greater increases in the available capacity in the network. Svyrydenko emphasized that the review of the lists will not affect socially important institutions and the strategic sector.
"Additionally, we noted that the decision does not concern schools, hospitals, other life-support facilities, and defense-industrial complex facilities on the lists of critical infrastructure," said Yulia Svyrydenko.
Reaction to strikes on the energy system
Recall that due to strikes on the energy system, the government reviewed the lists of critical facilities. Hospitals, schools, and defense enterprises will remain with electricity, while some consumers will be excluded from the list. The released electricity will be directed to the population.
Hourly outage schedules for electricity are also being introduced in all regions of Ukraine, due to the consequences of mass rocket-drone attacks on energy facilities.
The situation with power supply continues to be complicated in the context of active attacks on infrastructure. The government is doing everything possible to ensure the stability of electricity supply for the most important facilities and consumers. The free electrical capacities obtained through the review of the lists will be significant in this context, especially with the approach of the winter period when energy consumption increases.
