In Ukraine, prices for lard, bacon, and brawn have skyrocketed: how much they cost in Auchan, Metro, and Varus.
According to the Minfin portal, the prices for lard remain almost at the previous level in June. Homemade lard costs an average of 243.50 UAH per kilogram, slightly more than in May. Prices for salted lard have hardly changed, remaining at 242.80 UAH per kilogram. In-depth analysis suggests that the increase in price may be due to seasonal factors and changes in product deliveries.
The prices for brawn increased in June. Brawn Yatran costs an average of 635.38 UAH per kilogram, which is higher than in the previous month. The price for brawn Yatran with prunes has also risen to 679.16 UAH per kilogram. As for the prices for bacon, they have slightly increased but not as much as for brawn. Bacon Ukrprompostach is sold in June for 493.63 UAH per kilogram, 15.37 UAH more expensive than in May.
It is worth noting that prices for apples have tripled.
According to the Minfin portal, the prices for pork lard and meat products have hardly changed in June. It is worth noting that the prices for brawn and bacon have risen, but not as significantly as for homemade lard, which may be related to seasonal factors and the supply of goods.
