In Ukraine, preferential electricity tariffs have been introduced: who will be able to pay less.
Ukraine has established special electricity tariffs for certain groups of consumers. This was reported by the Government representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.
According to him, these special fixed electricity tariffs apply only to certain categories of the population that meet specific conditions.
'This applies to household consumers living in apartment buildings that do not have gas supply and do not use electricity for heating,' Melnychuk explained.
This new decision is aimed at alleviating the financial burden on residents of such buildings. The Cabinet of Ministers has also made changes to the Regulation on the special obligations of participants in the electricity market to introduce these preferential tariffs for household consumers.
According to the 'Hvylya' portal, the new electricity tariffs for certain consumer groups will help reduce their utility expenses.
