The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced changes in the basic training of military personnel

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Oleksandr Syrsky, announced plans to change the basic training of fighters before sending them to the front. He reported this on his Facebook page.

At a meeting held by Syrsky, issues regarding the extension of the basic general military training period and the creation of an Instructors School were discussed.

The Commander-in-Chief of the AFU emphasized that high-quality training is one of the key factors in preserving the lives of Ukrainian soldiers. He stated that he would make every effort to achieve this goal.

“We are working to extend the basic general military training period. This project will start in October-November this year,” Syrsky noted.

Additionally, other issues affecting the quality of military personnel training were discussed at the meeting, in particular, the improvement of training programs. The Commander-in-Chief emphasized the importance of the role of instructors and noted that motivated instructors with combat experience would be involved.

“We are also working on the possibility of establishing an Instructors School, which will be the main and only source of well-trained instructor staff,” Syrsky said.

The participants of the meeting included the heads of military administration bodies, as well as the commanders of combat brigades and the heads of training centers.

Earlier, Oleksandr Syrsky spoke about a successful operation in the Kursk region, holding back Russians near Pokrovsk, and the training of recruits.
