Restructuring of Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers

According to Novyny.live: Ukraine is set to reorganize its Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers (known as TCCs and SPs). Lawmaker Anatoliy Burmich has announced that the new framework will divide responsibilities into two primary areas: military personnel registration and social welfare matters.

According to reports, the Ministry of Defense also intends to involve police in carrying out tasks traditionally handled by military enlistment offices. This move stems from the need for better oversight and management of military registration processes.

'The police know the law... I believe they won't wear balaclavas, won't change into civilian clothes, won't grab people, won't beat them, and won't push children or wives.' Anatoliy Burmich

Recent Incidents and Their Impact

Several recent events in Ukraine have highlighted the critical need for safety in military registration procedures. In Dnipro, a man was attacked by individuals in balaclavas and military uniforms, leaving him in a coma. Additionally, a tragic incident occurred at a TCC facility in Ternopil, where a conscript died in a restroom—reportedly from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The restructuring of TCCs and SPs is expected to significantly reshape how Ukraine manages military registration while also boosting social support for service members and their families. In light of these recent events, the changes could help reduce security risks and improve cooperation between military and civilian agencies. Involving police in recruitment duties reflects the government's push for stricter control and accountability in this sensitive area.
