High Electricity Consumption in Ukraine: Reasons and Recommendations.
According to inkorr.com: Ukraine maintains a consistently high level of electricity consumption. According to data from NEC 'Ukrenergo', on October 14, the load changed little compared to the previous day.
Reasons for High Consumption
The main factors contributing to the increase in consumption are related to the weather. In cloudy weather, the efficiency of solar power plants decreases, and lower temperatures lead to an increase in the use of electric heaters in anticipation of the heating season.
Situation with Consumption
Last night, the maximum electricity consumption exceeded the previous figure by 2.1% due to the general cooling. The continuation of Russian attacks on energy infrastructure also poses a threat to system stability.
'The necessity of rational energy use remains critical. Citizens are requested to refrain from simultaneously turning on several powerful electrical appliances between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM', – emphasizes 'Ukrenergo'.
Consumers are advised to follow the news on the regional energy companies' pages, as the situation in the energy system may change depending on demand and the state of the grid.
Call for Caution
Ukraine continues to struggle with high electricity demand caused by weather conditions and threats to the energy system. Authorities urge citizens to be cautious in electricity consumption and avoid overloading the grid during peak hours.
The situation in the energy sector remains tense, so it is important for consumers to adhere to the recommendations of energy companies. This will help maintain the stability of the energy system and avoid potential interruptions in electricity supply.
