Prices in Ukraine will rise for some food products: 3 categories at risk.

The First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, Taras Vysotsky, during the telethon "United News" reported that price increases for some food products are expected in Ukraine. In particular, there may be an increase in the cost of bakery products, fruits, and vegetables.

The reasons for the price increase are potential power outages and the need to ensure proper storage conditions for products. Some products are more sensitive to power supply, especially bakery items, so power outages will significantly affect their prices. Also, storing vegetables and fruits requires a lot of electricity, and if storage facilities are forced to switch to generators, this will lead to price increases.

However, there are forecasts that sugar prices will decrease by the end of the year due to increased production in Ukraine and a larger market supply. It is worth noting that there is already a significant increase in the price of apples and potatoes, which may mark the beginning of a general rise in food prices.
