The recipe was published on the YouTube channel SIMPLE RECIPES with Maria Shcherbatyuk.
You will need:
- flour — 200 g;
- kefir — 100 ml;
- sugar — 1 tsp;
- salt — a pinch;
- soda — ¼ tsp;
- lemon juice — optionally;
- apples — 2 pcs;
- sugar — 1 tbsp;
- cinnamon — ¼ tsp.
Cooking method
Sift the flour into a deep bowl. Add salt, sugar, and soda. Pour in room temperature kefir and, optionally, a few drops of lemon juice - this will make the dough even more tender.
Knead a soft, elastic dough. Cover it with a towel and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
Prepare the filling: peel the apples and remove the seeds, cut them into small cubes. Add sugar and cinnamon, mix well. Sprinkle with a few drops of lemon juice to prevent the apples from browning.
Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 2 mm, cut out circles. Place the filling inside and seal the edges.
Steam the dumplings for about 8-10 minutes until soft. Serve with honey, sour cream, or butter.
The aroma of cinnamon combined with apples will create the perfect dessert or breakfast.
