Transcarpathian Dumplings with Cherries: The Secret of Tender Dough that Melts in Your Mouth.
Dumplings with cherries are truly a classic of Ukrainian cuisine that would be a shame to miss. This dish simply breathes the aroma of summer and tranquility, and the recipe that comes from here will surely take its rightful place in your kitchen.

So, for preparing this wonderful delicacy, you will need:
- flour - 400 g;
- salt - 0.5 tsp (or 4-5 g);
- water - 200 ml;
- oil - 3 tbsp (approximately 12 g);
- cherries - to your taste (pitted);
- sugar - for the filling (optional).
How to prepare:
Sift the flour into a deep bowl, add a little salt and mix. Then slightly warm the water, pour it into the flour, and add a little oil. Knead the dough, which should be soft, smooth, and not stick to your hands. Next, cover it with a towel and let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
While the dough is resting, prepare the cherries - remove the pits, and if desired, you can sweeten them with sugar if the berries are very sour.
After that, roll out the dough to a thin layer, cut out circles, place a little cherries in the center of each, combine the edges, and form the dumplings.
Boil in a large amount of salted water until cooked - after they float, cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Enjoy hot - with a lean sauce, honey, or just sugar. The dumplings will turn out aromatic, juicy, and incredibly tender.
