Cooking Method
First, prepare an enamel basin or pot in which you will cook the jam. Pour the raspberries in, sprinkle with sugar, and leave for 2-3 hours so that the berries release juice - no water is needed.
Then place the container over medium heat. Stir the raspberries to dissolve the sugar and avoid burning. Once the syrup darkens and almost dissolves, increase the heat to maximum.
After boiling, cook the jam for 5 minutes, watching the foam that will rise. Remove the foam, but a minute before the cooking is finished, also remove the last light foam.
Once removed from the heat, pour the jam into sterilized jars. It should be hot. Close the jars with lids and let them cool without turning them over. The jam can be stored in the kitchen cupboard, pantry, or basement. This amount of ingredients yields about 1.5 liters of jam.
