The cost of passport issuance in Ukraine will rise: new tariffs from January 1, 2025.
Changes in the cost of biometric document issuance in Ukraine
As of January 1, 2025, the cost of biometric document issuance in Ukraine will change, announced the State Migration Service. According to the decision of the Printing Plant 'Ukraine', the cost of issuing such documents will be altered.
However, the first passport of a citizen of Ukraine in the form of an ID card will remain free. For other cases, the cost of issuing an ID card will increase from 504 to 558 hryvnias, including 126 hryvnias for administrative services and 432 hryvnias for the form.
The issuance of a foreign passport within the standard period of 20 working days will also rise in price from 874 to 928 hryvnias. Of these, 496 hryvnias is for administrative services, and 432 hryvnias is for the form. Urgent issuance of a passport for traveling abroad within 20 working days will cost 1042 hryvnias instead of 958 hryvnias, including 352 hryvnias for administrative services and 690 hryvnias for the form.
The most expensive will be the urgent issuance of a foreign passport in 7 working days – the cost will rise from 1598 to 1682 hryvnias, where 992 hryvnias is for administrative services and 690 hryvnias is for the form.
Changes also apply to documents for foreigners. The permanent residence permit will rise in price from 1161 to 1175 hryvnias, and the temporary residence permit will increase from 1022 to 1080 hryvnias.
Those who paid for services and submitted applications by December 31, 2024, will receive documents at the previous prices. And those who have already paid but have not submitted an application must make up the difference according to the new tariffs.
