The Attorney General personally at the court for the murder of a teenager on the funicular: what is known.
Today, August 14, in the Shevchenko District Court in Kyiv, a hearing is taking place in the case of the murder of a teenager on the funicular.
The Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko will personally represent the prosecution in the case concerning the murder of 16-year-old Maksym Materukhin.
Friends and relatives of the deceased, as well as activists with placards demanding justice for the accused Artem Kosov, are present in the courtroom.
According to media reports, Kosov apologized to the mother of the deceased teenager but did not admit his guilt. Witnesses tried to persuade him to confess, but he refused, claiming that he does not consider himself guilty.
It is also reported that Kosov's lawyers refused to represent him in court, so they are currently waiting for a free specialist.

Recall that the tragedy on the funicular occurred in April 2024, when Artem Kosov fatally cut Maksym Materukhin's throat with glass.
