Teacher Salary Increases in Ukraine
According to Novyny.live: By July 2026, Ukraine will raise teacher salaries, factoring in both base pay rates and additional allowances. This move, mandated by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 1749, enforces a compulsory 40% wage increase for educators.
The minimum base rate for calculating teacher salaries stands at 3,470 hryvnias. Under the phased plan, by July 2026, the minimum pay for Ukrainian teachers will gradually climb according to their tariff grade. Specifically, for teachers in:
- Tariff grade 10 — starting at 6,315 hryvnias;
- Tariff grade 11 — starting at 6,836 hryvnias;
- Tariff grade 12 — starting at 7,356 hryvnias;
- Tariff grade 13 — starting at 7,877 hryvnias;
- Tariff grade 14 — starting at 8,397 hryvnias.
The minimum total compensation for teachers, including all standard increases, will range from 11,883 to 14,943 hryvnias. After deducting 18% personal income tax and a 5% military levy, teachers will take home between 9,150 and 11,506 hryvnias.
