The United Kingdom may join in the purchase of weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated that the United Kingdom may join Germany in purchasing weapons from the United States for Ukraine to support the country's defense. He provided this information to journalists, claiming that these steps are intended to improve the effectiveness of Ukraine's defense.
'We are working with allies to provide capabilities, as well as the support behind them, to ensure the effectiveness of any capabilities in Ukraine,'
According to Bloomberg sources, discussions on the possibility of purchasing weapons for Ukraine are in the early stages and are being held between the United Kingdom, the United States, and other European countries; however, no final decision has been made yet.
Recently, Keir Starmer announced the transition of the country's Armed Forces to combat readiness, while the German Defense Minister noted that German troops are ready to take action against Russian forces.
The United Kingdom is considering the possibility of joining Germany in purchasing weapons from the United States for Ukraine to support the country's defense in the context of escalating tensions in Eastern Europe.
