According to Novyny.live: The Verkhovna Rada appointed Mykhailo Fedorov as the Minister of Defense of Ukraine. This decision was made on January 14, when 277 members of parliament voted for the appointment.
Mykhailo Fedorov, who became the youngest minister in the history of Ukraine in 2019, headed the Ministry of Digital Transformation at the age of 28. Before taking up his new position, on January 13, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed him from the position of Minister of Digital Transformation. On the same day, Denys Shmyhal was dismissed from the position of Minister of Defense. Thus, the change in the position of the Minister of Defense resulted from two personnel decisions made on the same day.
