Veterans will be able to obtain compensation for apartment rental more easily.

The Ministry of Veterans Affairs has made changes to the procedure for paying financial compensation to veterans who have returned from captivity or lost their homes. Now, applications along with the necessary documents can be submitted to the structural unit for veteran policy or through the CNAP at the address of the rented residential premises. The process of submitting documents and their subsequent consideration has become more organized and efficient.
Who is entitled to compensation?
Veterans who have lost their homes due to hostilities, reside in temporarily occupied territories, or far from their permanent residence at a distance of more than 15 km, can receive compensation. The amount of compensation depends on the location of the rented accommodation.
For example, in Kyiv, Dnipro, Lviv, and Odesa, 2 living minimums (6,056 UAH) are paid, in regional centers - 1.5 living minimums (4,542 UAH), and in other settlements - 1 living minimum (3,028 UAH). The CMU Resolution No. 252 simplifies the procedure for obtaining compensation for veterans who find themselves in difficult life circumstances.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Veterans Affairs has published new rules for compensation payments for veterans who have lost their homes due to hostilities or live in difficult conditions. With these changes, the process of submitting documents and receiving compensation has become simpler and more transparent for soldiers who have become victims of the war.
