Maia Sandu won the presidential elections in Moldova with an advantage of over 10 percentage points over her opponent, Alexandru Stoianoglo. She was supported by 55.26% of the voters, while Stoianoglo received 44.74%. In total, almost 1.7 million citizens of Moldova participated in the elections. In Chisinau, Sandu won in all districts except Botanica. Among the diaspora, she also received significant support, gaining nearly 83% of the votes against 17.4% for Stoianoglo.
Sandu stated that during the elections, Moldova suffered an unprecedented attack, but the people united and won. The details of these attacks are not reported.
