Elections in Poland: Russian special services offer up to €4,000 for spreading disinformation.

Russian special services are offering Polish citizens €3,000-4,000 for spreading disinformation content in an attempt to influence the upcoming presidential elections. This was reported by Poland's Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski in an interview with Reuters.

Gawkowski claims that Russians are seeking disseminators of their content in Poland and offering them monetary rewards. They are trying to engage citizens who want to influence the presidential campaign and are offering a certain sum of money for that. They are using the Darknet, a part of the Internet not accessible to regular users, to attract the target audience and conduct recruitment.

Gawkowski also noted that Poland has been monitoring such attempts since the beginning of the year. In the future, the country plans to take measures to prevent the spread of disinformation content and protect itself from the influence of Russian special services.
