According to Espreso.tv: Armenia’s snap parliamentary elections have concluded, with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s Civil Contract party emerging as the clear winner. The party secured 64 seats in the National Assembly, reflecting strong voter support. Vote counting took place across 1,924 of the country’s 2,005 polling stations, indicating robust civic engagement in the democratic process.
The Civil Contract party garnered 50.07% of the vote, giving it a commanding lead over its rivals. The 'Strong Armenia' alliance finished second with 23.35% of the vote, translating to 29 seats. The 'Armenia' bloc came in third with 9.86% and 12 seats.
'The party received votes from a larger share of Armenia’s citizens and earned a greater vote of confidence compared to the 2021 elections.'
These elections took place amid rising political engagement and shifting public sentiment in the country.
