Advantages of diesel engines

• Durability of construction. Diesel engines can operate without major repairs for 500-600 thousand kilometers, which significantly exceeds the capabilities of gasoline engines, especially small displacement turbocharged engines.

Disadvantages of diesel engines

• Acoustic discomfort. Among the disadvantages, an increased level of noise in diesel cars, especially until fully warmed up and while idling, is noted.
• Fuel requirements. Diesel cars require high-quality fuel of Euro-5 standard and above; using low-quality fuel can lead to breakdowns and additional costs.

Additional maintenance costs. Diesel engines require refueling with AdBlue urea solution, and repairs can be more expensive due to the use of high-cost components.

Heating issues. The high efficiency of diesel engines complicates the heating of the cabin in cold weather, which may require additional expenses.
