According to Novyny.live: A powerful gas explosion occurred at a vehicle service station in Duliby, located in the Lviv region, on February 6 at approximately 5:53 p.m. The blast injured three individuals, prompting immediate rescue and investigative operations at the scene. Such incidents highlight ongoing safety challenges with gas infrastructure in the region.
At the time of the explosion, three people were present at the station: one woman and two men. All three victims were transported to Stryi Hospital for treatment. Two suffered severe burns, while the third sustained burns of moderate severity. The force of the explosion destroyed the service station's two-story building, significantly complicating rescue efforts for emergency crews.
Emergency Response and Traffic Disruption
In response to the emergency, traffic was halted on the M-06 Kyiv-Chop highway at the 620-kilometer marker. A large-scale emergency response is underway, involving rescue teams, police, explosives experts, and a special investigative unit.
"Three people were injured," stated Tetiana Andriieva.
Andrii Piasetskyi added that there is a possibility one more person could be trapped beneath the rubble. Authorities report the situation is under control as they continue to gather details about the incident.
