From Humanitarian Aid to Fortifications: What Participants of the 'Army of Restoration' Are Doing.

Since the beginning of the year, over 66 thousand referrals have been issued for temporarily unemployed Ukrainians and internally displaced persons as part of the 'Army of Restoration' project. A total of 631 million hryvnias has been allocated for wage payments, according to the State Employment Service.
Participation in the project allows participants to actively work on restoring infrastructure, helping those affected by the war and building defensive structures for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Each region has its own plan, coordinated with military administrations.
Diversity of Work Directions
- Ensuring the livelihoods of the affected and IDPs;
- Unloading, packaging, and delivering humanitarian aid;
- Providing social services in places concentrated with IDPs and affected citizens;
- Support work for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- Debris removal, restoring residential buildings, clearing roads;
- Setting up checkpoints and fortifications;
- Construction of protective structures and reinforcement of dams.
Socially useful work is being carried out in 19 regions of Ukraine, with the most referrals identified in Kharkiv (39 thousand), Donetsk (32 thousand), and Kyiv (30 thousand) regions.
Participation in the 'Army of Restoration' project provides an opportunity to acquire new skills and practical experience in various fields of activity, as well as receive material compensation of up to 12 thousand hryvnias per month.
The 'Army of Restoration' project actively involves temporarily unemployed and internally displaced persons in restoring infrastructure, providing humanitarian aid, and constructing defensive structures for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
