The main character of the show 'The Bachelor', Alexander Teren, expressed his thoughts on the criticism he has received since the new season began. He admitted on social media that he did not expect some negative feedback.

Alexander shared that he was surprised by the criticism directed against him. While he was once loved, now he is receiving 'hostile messages'.

«People who just yesterday expressed their gratitude and support for me, asked to take photos with them, are now attacking me because our views on life are simply incompatible. I cannot be responsible for what others disliked in my worldview, especially regarding relationships», - Teren stated.

Teren also emphasized that he participated in the project to show that disability is not an obstacle to a full life. Soldiers and people with disabilities deserve love, joy, and a fulfilling life. Alexander expressed gratitude to those who support him.

In his Instagram stories, Teren also noted that he was criticized for his reaction to one of the participants, Victoria, seeking help from a psychologist and taking antidepressants.

«I did not understand such attacks since I never saw flaws in people's need for psychologists. On the contrary, I even recommend them, especially to soldiers. That is my reaction to this episode. However, I did not feel any condemnation or destruction anywhere», - said 'The Bachelor'.

Also, after the first episodes of the show aired, Alexander was accused of trying to gain publicity on television, while other veterans continue to fight, and he does not help the military.

But many Ukrainians supported Teren and expressed warm words to him.

Premiere of the new season of 'The Bachelor'

On November 1, the premiere of the 13th season of the romantic show 'The Bachelor' took place, featuring veteran Alexander Budko, known as Teren, who lost both legs during the war with the Russian Federation.

12 girls will compete for the veteran's heart in the project, among them a tarot reader, a military journalist, a sommelier, and a model. In the first episode, Budko met 25 participants, but he fell in love with only 13 of them.

Alexander Budko also gifted the girls white notebooks in which they can write their stories about participating in the project. He has already written his autobiographical book 'The Story of a Stubborn Man'. Each participant came up with a title for their book, and some left it untitled to choose later.

It is important to note that journalist and blogger Mariyka Dovbenko, who participated in 'The Bachelor 13', accused the show's creators of sexism and emphasized that all the girls are 'exploited in a sexual context, while they are forced to remain silent'.

Alexander Budko went to war as a volunteer on February 24, 2022. He became the commander of the platoon of the 49th separate rifle battalion 'Karpaty Sich'. During combat operations, he lost both legs. After prosthetics, he actively lives, is a prize-winner of the Invictus Games international competition, and is a co-author and host of the project 'Leg Off, or All Inclusive' on YouTube.
