Dashcams During the War: Drivers Warned About Hidden Dangers.

Experts point out that while there are references to the existence of restrictions in the order of the Supreme Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, such a publicly accessible document could not be found. It is worth noting that filming military objects is prohibited and may have criminal consequences.

Some lawyers advise being cautious and avoiding the use of dashcams during martial law, as they may accidentally capture military objects. It is recommended that the device be placed in the car in such a way that it is not visible even when turned off, to avoid misunderstandings with law enforcement or military personnel.

If the dashcam was turned on but did not capture any military object, the driver can argue that there was no violation of the rules; however, it is still advisable to be cautious and avoid using such devices while driving.
