According to inkorr.com: Ukraine spends over 7 billion hryvnias daily on the full-scale war initiated by Russia. This information was announced by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andriy Hnatov, in the program 'News.Live'.

“We can calculate how much this burden costs per year and understand that we cannot bear this financial load on our own,” he emphasized.

Hnatov also noted that receiving financial support from Western partners is crucial to cover expenses. This will help strengthen Ukraine's defense industry and implement new technologies, giving the country competitive advantages.

Expenses and funding needs

He emphasized that war with such a powerful country is very costly. The International Monetary Fund estimated Ukraine's funding needs until 2027 to be between 10 and 20 billion dollars more than the government anticipated. This complicates the receipt of international support for the country.

Additionally, the government predicts a budget deficit of 45 billion dollars for 2026, while external partners are only willing to provide 35 billion dollars. This was reported by Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko.

Therefore, Ukraine needs to attract funding from international partners and strategically plan expenditures to effectively counteract the high financial strain.

This situation underscores the importance of international support for Ukraine amid the ongoing war. Without adequate funding, the country may face serious challenges in ensuring defense capabilities and social stability. Further steps to attract foreign aid will be crucial to overcoming financial difficulties in the coming years.
